My name is Alan and I am the guy behind this website.
I am the wrong side of 45 and live in Johannesburg with my fiancé, three children, three dogs and the cat.
When I am not working (yep I work full-time – this site is done in my spare-time) or studying I love to read, cook (my true passion) and share a drink (or two) with family and friends.
I formed the idea for this website way back in 2004 as a means of allowing ordinary people and SMME’s affordable access to legal documentation and free legal information.

I have over 20 years hands-on legal experience in the corporate and own business environments. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, I have studied an Oxford Brookes University (U.K) MBA degree and have a post-graduate diploma in contract drafting from the University of Johannesburg. I am currently studying a post-graduate diploma in labour law.
I was admitted as a Advocate of the High Court in 1996, I am a member of the Corporate Lawyers Association of South Africa and I serve on certain industry association committees.
So I think I have the credentials and experience for the job-in-hand. I hope this has given you a sufficient glimpse of me to allay any fears you may have of registering on this site and reaping the benefits associated therewith.
